Several hillforts can be found in Pajauta Valley on the picturesque shores of the Neris. Since times immemorial, settlements have been built and people have been buried here. The small area of 194 hectares hides cultural values and a large number of archeological findings. The landscape that has been formed throughout the passage of time speaks of the cultures that have existed here for 11 thousand years.
